Approaching Sand Storm is an abstract impressionistic landscape painting of the Sahara Desert when ,sky turned blood red .
In the spring of this year we experienced the greatest sand storm ever here in Andalucia ,Southern Spain which came from the Sahara Desert when the sky turned blood red and it looked like it was the end of the world . The devastation that followed was a high price to pay for the wondrous scenery which left the province aghast and never seen before in living memory .
This is the inspiration behind this semi abstract painting on linen . With a palette as close as I can remember to Burnt Sienna, Raw and Burnt Umber and with varying blues .
It is painted on the sides to tone . It is signed on the back with Elizabeth’s logo on the side .
The painting comes with Certificate of Authenticity and is signed ,dated and numbered in Elizabeth raisonne catalogue
