This artwork was inspired by Alexandre Dumas the son’s character Maguerite Gautier ,from his famous book ,’ The lady of the Camelias’ the most beautiful love story I have ever read. Whilst I was painting this art piece  I was listening to my favorite opera :Traviata inspired by the character Maguerite but in the opera her name is Violetta and hence the color of the art piece’s background . Her eyes are expressive and follow the viewer like a mirror of her soul . The camelias are a symbol of love and affection so this art piece is a nostalgic combination of the arts : the visual music and writing . The stairs on the left are made up of books  a Le Motif  of my artwork and a symbol of evolution
